ISSA accepts online CPR/AED from students who have completed a previous hands-on CPR/AED certification. Students must provide a copy of a previous hands-on certification along with a copy of the course completion certificate from the online course.
If you are renewing your CPR/AED certification for employment or insurance purposes, ask your employer or insurance carrier if online CPR/AED is an accepted method of renewal.
The American Health Association administers the CPR/AED certification. The American Health Association is a national training organization that meets ECC guidelines and the training requirements for all fifty states. The curriculum follows the same accreditation guidelines as the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. No. From the date of your online enrollment you will have access to your training course for 6 months. You can review the online course material as often as you like during that period.
Each course is self-paced and generally takes 30-60 minutes to complete.
You can retake the test as many times as you need to fully grasp the information and successfully pass all segments of the training.
After completing your training course, a printable certificate will be generated and available to you in the "Completed Course Information" section of the course portal. A copy of the printable card along with a copy of a previous hands-on CPR/AED certification is sufficient for ISSA purposes.
The physical certification wallet card/s will be mailed within 5 business days of course completion.
