Dr. Jack Barnathan, D.C., is an award winning Sports Doctor and ISSA Master of Fitness Science recognized internationally as a leading authority on strength development and its dramatic impact on health & human performance.
A lifelong strength athlete and IFBB Gold Medal honoree, Dr. Barnathan has served as both a pro judge and attending Doctor of Chiropractic for the International Federation of Bodybuilders (IFBB), which sanctions Pro and Olympic Bodybuilding and Women's Pro Fitness worldwide. Dr. Barnathan has been officially recognized as bodybuilding's "Strength Doctor" acknowledging his use of strength training principles and techniques in the care of his patients who often include Pro and Olympic athletes from virtually every known sport.

John Schaeffer, MFS, MSS, MPNISSA Professor
John Schaeffer is known as a trainer’s trainer. John has over 30 years’ experience in the health and fitness industry—specializing in nutrition, weight management, and sports conditioning—and has trained Short Track Speed Skater Olympians Apolo Ohno and Allison Baver, Long Track Speed Skater Liam Ortega, Sprint Cycling Olympian Giddeon Massie, Triathlon Olympian Mark Fretta, and "The Contender" finalist Wayne Johnsen, among a host of other athletes. He is currently working on his dissertation for his Ph.D. in nutrition and has a Masters’ degree in fitness science, along with numerous additional fitness certifications from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).
John has taught more than 100 ISSA certification seminars for Certified Fitness Trainers. In addition, his desire to help others has led John to write fitness books, nutritional supplementation information pamphlets, and fitness articles, and he has even developed software programs for personalized nutrition and training. He has also designed and developed numerous nutritional supplement formulas.
A five-time world champion powerlifter, John has also held numerous world records. He is also a professional kick-boxer, winning a Masters Super Heavyweight World Championship from MACK (Martial Arts Council of Kick Boxing).
John has been featured on the Discovery Channel (The Sweet Science, The Daily Planet Show), in Powerlifting Video Magazine, Black Belt Video Magazine, as well as numerous other television and radio shows around the world. John has been awarded the International Sports Sciences Association Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in the fields of nutrition and fitness.

Lt. Col. JK Taylor - USMC retiredISSA Professor of Fitness Science
Lt. Col. Taylor received his BS from Auburn University in Health and Physical Education, with his concentration in Exercise Physiology. He transitioned and applied this knowledge into the United States Marine Corps where as an Infantry Officer he served three tours in Viet Nam. While in the Military, he earned the "USMC Master Fitness Award" and held the USMC record for the fastest time through the obstacle course. Lt. Col. Taylor was responsible for the physical training for the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, South Carolina and was the Fitness Specialist at the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, South Carolina. He retired from the Marine Corps with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
In addition to teaching the ISSA principles at seminars throughout the US, he currently owns and operates a Fitness Training Studio, where he offers Personal Training and provides strength and conditioning for High School athletes.
