Carpinteria, CA – August 17, 2010 – The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) has been selected by G.I. Jobs magazine as a Military Friendly School for 2011. This is the second consecutive year that the ISSA has been recognized as being in the top 15% of all schools nationwide that prioritize recruiting students with military experience.

The first fitness organization to be listed as a Nationally Accredited Distance Learning Program by the Department of Defense for DANTES, ISSA has been approved for Military Tuition Assistance.

ISSA is also GI Bill approved by the Bureau for Private and Postsecondary Vocational Education (BPPVE) under contract with the Veteran's Administration (VA). Active military, veterans, and eligible spouses and dependents can receive reimbursement from the VA for testing fees for any ISSA fitness certification courses. GI Bill reimbursement is available for all service branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Additionally, ISSA is approved for the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Financial Assistance program, which provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance to the spouses of active duty Guard and Reserve Service members worldwide.
