Beginning as a staff personal trainer in 1997, Gary evolved into an independent contract trainer and eventually a wellness-focused business owner. Coming from a sports and fitness training background, he was introduced into the fitness competition scene in 2003. Shortly after, he became involved in fitness and sports event promotions and project management. In 2006, he co-founded and acts as CEO for the fitness-sports and wellness production company, Fitness and Sports Network, LLC (FAS-NET). With the company's initial production beginning as a fitness competition endeavor, it evolved into a business development service for the fitness, sports, and wellness professionals known as, "FMI Guild".

The FMI Guild's focus is to equip and qualify members for multiple business and/or employment options. Gary serves as the executive director for the FMI Guild production. Gary had the honor of beginning his career as a instructor and trainer working in 3 collegiate wellness/sports settings, (California State University-Long Beach, UCLA, and the University of Oklahoma). From there, he moved into the private sector and continues to operate between the Oklahoma City and Los Angeles metros . He is a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer through ISSA and NSCA, in addition to earning a Bachelor's degree in Health and Sports Science from the University of Oklahoma."

Logos, photography, and slogans are key tools of the advertising trade. The tools are a form of assets known as intellectual property. To maximize their value, it is vital for a business to know it either owns or has permission to use them for commercial use.

Upon completion of this course, an attendee will understand:

What Intellectual Property is (specifically logos, photography, and slogans)
The difference between a copyright and a trademark
How filing for registered copyright and trademark is conducted
Alternatives to legally using protected IP (usage rights, licensing)
Identifiable revenue streams utilizing protected intellectual property.
